FINCA Microfinance Bank Ltd, Pakistan’s leading microfinance bank, has announced appointment of Mr. Shahid Maqsood as Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Fawad Younus as Head of Marketing and ADC Strategy and Mr. Dmitry Bogatyrev as Chief Financial Officer. These new additions strengthen the FINCA team, bringing a wide array of experience, exposure and expertise to enhance the organization’s potential.
With 20 years of experience in commercial banking both in Pakistan and International markets, Mr. Shahid Maqsood has ground experience to grow and sustain market share of the banking business. Prior to joining FINCA, Mr. Maqsood has held key positions at Kashf Foundation, Bank Alfalah (Afghanistan & in Bahrain) and was the Director of Afghan Bankers Association. In addition to his role as the new COO of FINCA Pakistan, he is also a member of the Bank’s Management Board.
Mr. Fawad Younus has joined as FINCA Pakistan as the new Head of Marketing and ADC Strategy. Mr. Younus is a seasoned executive with almost 20 years of International and local experience in Management, Education, Research & Development, and Technology. He has also worked for the University of the Texas at Arlington, Advanced Micro Devices, and National Semiconductor Corporation in the USA and later at National ICT R&D Fund Company in Pakistan in key positions.
Mr. Dmitry Bogatyrev has more than 14 years of experience in the Banking Industries of the Post-Soviet economies. He started his banking career in Kyrgyzstan and has to date worked for the ProCredit banks in Georgia, Ukraine and Moldova, at various managerial positions. Before joining FINCA, Dmitry was CFO at the leading commercial bank in Kyrgyzstan founded by EBRD, IFC and KFW.
